Arete’s Student Internship Initiative: Career Connected Learning

From November 2025 through May 2026, Areté Education's Career Connected Learning Internship Initiative provided high school students with meaningful, hands-on experience in education.

Interns were placed in 9th period Block 1 academic intervention classrooms, where they partnered with middle school teachers to support student learning. From Monday through Wednesday, interns assisted with classroom activities and worked one-on-one with students. On Thursdays and Fridays, they shifted their focus to providing individualized tutoring, helping middle school students strengthen academic skills. Beyond their classroom responsibilities, interns also participated in professional development sessions, where they explored topics such as different learning methods, instructional strategies, and other skills designed to prepare them for future academic and professional success.

This internship initiative empowered high school students to develop leadership, communication, and teaching skills while supporting the academic success of the students within their school community.
