This spring, our programming brought together students, families, and community members through a variety of meaningful events. We celebrated culture, encouraged community engagement, promoted wellness, and strengthened family partnerships.
Our season began on March 23 with an Eid Celebration, where students learned about the cultural and religious significance of Eid. Through engaging activities and discussions, students gained a greater appreciation for the traditions observed by members of the Muslim community and joined in a celebration of diversity and inclusion.
On April 20, students demonstrated their commitment to civic responsibility during the Community Trash Cleanup Event. Participants worked together to help beautify the Washington Heights neighborhood by collecting litter and promoting environmental stewardship. This event encouraged students to take pride in their community while making a positive impact on their surroundings.

Students continued their exploration of nature and the arts on April 24 during a trip to the New York Botanical Garden’s Orchid Show. The NYC-themed exhibit featured a stunning display of orchids and diverse plant life. This event provided students with a unique opportunity to experience the beauty of nature while learning about different species of flora.
To recognize the dedication of educators, students participated in Teacher Appreciation Week activities on April 28. Students wrote heartfelt notes expressing gratitude for their teachers' hard work, support, and commitment throughout the school year. These messages were proudly displayed on a wall as a special tribute to the educators who make a difference every day.

On May 11, families gathered for a Community Forum, where they shared valuable feedback about programming and received updates on progress toward annual program goals. The event also featured food, community-building opportunities, and raffle prizes. Some of the prizes included blenders, tool kits, and kitchen sets, as a thank-you for families' continued involvement and support.
On May 18, families attended the Wellness Fair, which focused on promoting healthy lifestyles and overall well-being. Parents participated in workshops covering mental health, anxiety management, physical wellness, and self-care practices. One of the main highlights was a series of yoga activities designed to support both mental and physical health.
The spring season concluded on May 22 with a Parent Flower Workshop. Families came together to learn the art of creating beautiful Mother's Day flower bouquets. The workshop provided parents with a creative experience while fostering connections among participants and celebrating the important role families play in our community.

We thank all of our students, families, and staff for making this spring season such a success!
